W E, the UNDERSIGNED, do hereby solemnly affirm and sweer, that on

the arrival of this steamer at this port on May 14th 1908, there was no

"TRACHOMA" or "BERI-BERI" amongst the passengers or crew, the only SICKNESS

being "CONJUNCTIVITIS" with nothing more serious, health of passengers

during voyage from Hong Kong commencing April 2nd 1908 having been excellent.

"BERI-BERI" made its appearance a month after arrival. See other sworn

statements signed and affirned before British Consul at this port by Chief

Officer, Surgeon and Master.
